Over the last couple centuries this magnificent centrally placed Maison de Maitre has been owned by many of the town’s mayors. In 2001 the current owners restored the house keeping all original features but upgraded all the behind the scene services.
The hallway has a magnificent, unique, 18th Century staircase leading to the first floor.
The dining room is a magnificent example of its style with an original Pyrenean marble fireplace and fitted wall to ceiling with chestnut cupboards with original oak and pine floors. Sympathetic furniture compliments the room with 19th Century chairs and sideboard. On the walls hang original oil paintings alongside classical ornaments and sculptures, some made by the owner.
The house is amazing, the interior "good feeling" and very thoughtful. The hostess utterly charming, we loved it.
